From Foster Care to Business Owner

From Foster Care to Entrepreneur:  Building a Path to Independence

When Sam enrolled in LEAP through their Title 1 school, they were living in foster care and facing an uncertain future. Without a stable home or access to traditional resources, Sam joined the LEAP program and discovered their passion for creating a business that solves real-world problems.

Through the program, Sam:

Learned the Basics: Acquired entrepreneurial skills like branding, customer discovery, and financial management.

Secured Early Funding: Raised $3,500 through the “Love Money” feature, gathering support from their foster network and community.
